Deans Letter 2011
GOOD DAY TO ALL OF
YOU
As Dean of the University I want to thank each
and every one for such an enjoyable weekend. If I had a good
time, then I know all of you did as well. It was great to
have the BSA National President, John Gottschalk, with us
for the weekend who, as you all know, made some very
positive comments about the University and what we are doing
to train the leadership of the BSA for tomorrow. He also
commented to me that he felt welcome by all and enjoyed his
visit and wished he could have stayed the entire weekend
with us.
Now on to business. If for some strange
reason you did not get a certificate for 2010, please let me
know as soon as you can so that we can get them to you. And
if you wish to pass on a comment about the University, I
will gladly share that with the committee.
Now it is
time to start the arduous process of setting up for the next
University. March will be on us before you know it. We as
the Steering Committee are in the process of selecting the
courses for the LBPU 2011 and if there are any ideas that
you wish that we offer, please feel free to share them with
the Steering Committee members of your Council. If you are
unsure who they are, send them to me and I will pass them
along. And if there is anything that you feel would make
your time with us better, please share that as well.
The weekend of March 18-20, 2011 is when we will be
presenting the University. Catalogs are slated to be mailed
in the fall and the University website is undergoing a face
lift at this time. You will be able to preview it as soon as
the catalog is ready. And when you are done reading this,
enjoy the pictures that are posted on our website (www.lbpuniv.org).
There are two files to view. One has the pictures from the
closing video and the other of the facility at Wonderland so
you can get a feel of the accommodations. I hope to see all
of you back next year and bring a friend. I am sure that
they will enjoy themselves as well
Yours in Scouting
